Selma L. Kennedy's Obituary
Selma L. Kennedy, 97, of Oakland, CA, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 9, 1921. Selma graduated from high school in Omaha Nebraska. She was married to John Kennedy on December 20, 1941. Selma worked as a secretary for Howells & Company. Her life passion was all about her family. The love she shared will always be in their hearts.
Selma will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rose, Pat, Jim (Kim), Kathy (Larry) and Richard. Selma will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Bill (Jenny), James, Michelle (Rick), Karen (Anthony) and Kelli (Mike), along with her two great grandchildren; Norah and Drew. Selma was predeceased by her husband John and her sister Til.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 9th, 2018 in the Meditation Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611. Inurnment will be on the same date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 4529 Howe Street, Oakland, CA 94611.
