Sardarni Mohinder Kaur Batth's Obituary
We gather to honor the life of Sardarni Mohinder Kaur Batth, born on June 15, 1925, in
Punjab, India, who peacefully passed away on February 24, 2025. She was a devoted
mother, grandmother, and an enduring source of strength, love, and inspiration to all
who knew her.
Born in Sangrur, Punjab, she was raised in a loving family that instilled in her the values
of hard work, kindness, and resilience. In 1947, she married into a family of army officers,
becoming a devoted wife and mother. Although she did not receive formal schooling, her
wisdom was profound. She understood the importance of education and ensured that her
children received the best education possible.
After the untimely passing of her husband in 1970, she embraced the roles of both parents
with grace, strength, and intelligence, guiding her family with love and purpose.
In 1987, she moved to the United States, where she nurtured her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, sharing stories and lessons about their culture, faith, and Sikhism,
thus becoming a living link to their heritage.
A true lover of life, she found joy in cooking and gardening. Her kitchen was a place of
warmth and togetherness, where every meal she prepared was an act of love that
nourished both body and soul.
As we remember her life, we draw strength from her unwavering spirit, kindness, and
boundless love for her family. Her legacy lives on in each of us, a reminder to live with
grace, love deeply, and find joy in the simple things. May her memory remain in our
hearts, forever
