Samuel I. Okocha's Obituary
Samuel I. Okocha was born in Obior, Delta State of Nigeria on May 18, 1957 and passed away at John Muir Hospital in Concord, California on May 21, 2017. He was a lovely father of two, Joy Onyeiye Egbokwu (Gillian Egbokwu, son-in-law), and Ogechukwu Okocha and a lovely granddaughter, Praise Obiajulu Egbokwu and had many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was a very humble, kind, and friendly man that loves his family, friends and those that he was privileged to meet.
Samuel is survived by his brothers, Paul Okocha, Austin Okocha, Felix Okocha, Chuks Akaeze, Malechi Akaeze & Ekie Akaeze, and sister, Lillian Uju Akaeze.
Sam came to the United States some 37 years ago in pursuit of greener pasture and did everything humanly possible to achieve his dreams. He battled many obstacles along his path, defeated many, struggled on few, and lost on the one that comes at the end of the road for every living being. We know that the end of the road here on earth is the beginning of a better living because Jesus Christ has promised us this:
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:3
We love you and will miss you profoundly but we comforted that you’re in a better place now.
