Hello all, I met Ruby through the Dougherty family back in New Hope. We were always in a big group so I had little time to spend with her one-on-one but I do remember how she inspired a development in Bryan that was truly transformational for him. He stretched himself in many different directions and in independent experiences beyond what his family offered. He is super spiritual and loving and creative and I think Ruby had a lot to do with opening him up to that.
My sister, Susie, lost her son to suicide when he was 15. We all know what you're going through, and I can't tell you how much it means to read your heartfelt and heart-full words here about how you will be Ruby's forever. I don't think I'll ever light a candle again and NOT think of her spirit....
All the best to you as you embrace the grief and carry Ruby's light with you. peace--Julie Williams (aka Bryan's Aunt Julie)
