Rossie Mae Badger's Obituary
On Thursday. September 13th, 2018, “God Lowered Down His Chariot” and escorted his dearly beloved child, Rossie Mae Badger, to her new residence; a place full of joy, Peace and Comfort.
Rossie, entered this world December 3, 1942, the second born to the late Viola Wright McKeever. She was nurtured and taught strong family values. Her childhood days were filled with many happy experiences and adventures.
At an early age, Rossie, accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined the United House of Prayer Church, Bellsville, Georgia.
Rossie attended school in Evans/Tattnall County.
On, December 10, 1958 Rossie, united in Holy Matrimony to the late Moses James Badger Jr.
As an amazing and hardworking person, Rossie began working at Granny Goose as a workflow coordinator from 1989 to 2000, and from 2002 to 2010 she was employed at Walmart.
Rossie, enjoyed an active role with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved cooking, providing holiday dinners, walking in the park or around the Lake, working crossword puzzles, dancing and listening to old school music, collecting souvenirs and souvenirs magnets. Most of all she was a diehard Warriors and 49er’s fan.
Her legacy will live on through each person she touched. Rossie’s personality portrayed wisdom and sensitivity. She was understanding and compassionate. She had no problem sharing her wisdom in a time of need. Her honesty was her noblest work of God. Rossie was an amazing woman with a big heart and this is why we loved her ever so unconditionally. She will be truly missed.
Those who remain left to cherish her spirit and memories, her two loving daughters Charlene Peoples and Darlene Campbell of Oakland, CA. A very special, strong, and devoted grandson(s) Kerwin Upshur, Kelvin King, Kodi Crawford, and Tayeshaun Campbell of Oakland, CA. Granddaughters, Kameca Upshur, Darisha Fields and Treniece Fortson of Oakland, CA. Four great grandchildren, Kailyn Shaives, Kylie King, Malik Upshur, and Tiah Finley. Two sisters Brenda McKeaver and Minster Christene Bailey. Three brothers, Jimmy, Wallace, and Tonel McKeaver. Three siblings preceded her in death, Lawerence and James McKeaver, and Catherine Lawson of Claxton Georgia. Aunt Helen Jenkins of San Francisco, CA.
One Goddaughter, Juanita Jordon. Two special cousins, Raymond Davis(Josephine) Oakland, CA, Willie Wright (Verda B) of College Park, Georgia. Five sister in-laws, Kathy Sapp and Ernestine Badger of Oakland, CA, Jenel Hayward(Roy) and Annie G. Badger of Claxton, Georgia, Sarah Williams of Claxton, GA. Two brother in-laws Ernest Badger of Oakland, CA and Willie E. Badger of Sacramento, CA. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rossie’s death has left us, her family, and friends deeply saddened and bereaved. She will forever be remembered as a mother, a sister, an aunt, and grandmother, and a friend.
