Rose Imazumi's Obituary
Rose T. Imazumi passed away Tuesday September 10, 2019 after a short illness, at her home in San Leandro surrounded by her family. She was 96 years of age. She was born in Parlier, California to Tatsuzo and Masa Yoshimoto. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Shigetoshi R. Imazumi, her brothers: Takao, Koji, and Kazumi Yoshimoto and Sister Fumiko Hiromoto. She is survived by her Daughter Marilyn Hannah (Lee) and son, Robert Imazumi (Anita) and many nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Reedley High School and attended Reedley College, until World War II began and she and her family were sent to internment camp at Gila River, AZ. After the War she joined her husband 1st Lt. Shigetoshi Imazumi, in Japan as part of the U.S. Army occupation of Japan.
She was employed by Morrison Knudsen Company where she eventually retired. After retirement she enjoyed travelling, bowling, and gardening.
There will be a private service for family members at a time to be determined later.
