Rosailand Mcfarland's Obituary
SUNRISE - December 22, 1959 SUNSET – July 29, 2025
Rosailand McFarland, born Rosailand Graves on December 22, 1959, in Stockton, CA, is the daughter of Roosevelt and Willie Mae Graves. Roosevelt and Willie Mae divorced, and Willie Mae subsequently married Melvin Waters, our father.
Rosailand graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, CA and took courses at Chabot College in Hayward, CA. She was employed by Lucky Food Stores for 20 plus years. Starting as a Checker, Promoted to Lead Clerk and then Manager. She was later employed by Park and Fly as Manager in Oakland, CA.
In 1981, Rosailand married Vincent McFarland; they subsequently divorced. They had two children together: a son, Vincent McFarland Jr., born on October 13, 1982, and a daughter, Camille McFarland, born on January 4, 1983.
Rosailand was kind, generous, loving, and direct, showing unconditional love. She loved her children deeply and was devoted to motherhood. She volunteered at her children’s schools when they were young, donating her time whenever she could. And was ever present at their activities in sports, music and tai kwon do.
Rosailand prioritized fitness and healthy eating, earning the nickname "Sargent Roz" for her intense workouts and love of football. She was also an excellent cook who enjoyed making meals for her family, especially her children and grandson Sincere.
Rosailand was beautiful both inside and out, very much loved and will forever be missed.
She is survived by her children, Vincent and Camille McFarland (partner D’Shon Lee); grandchildren, Sincere Luna and D’Shon Lee II; brother Michael Maynard (wife Mary Maynard); sisters Donna Kirkwood Smith (husband Freddie C. Smith), Vivian Daniels (husband Darnell Daniels), and Balynda Brooks (husband Stanley Brooks).
ROSAILAND also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends to mourn.
