Mr. Ronald Lee Williams' Obituary
Ronald Lee Williams was born on July 3, 1947 to the union of Lee and Edna Mae Williams. Ron graduated from Oakland Technical High School in the class of 1965. He followed his father’s “legend” in the steel industry (his father was the first Negro superintendent of steel in Northern California). Ron inherited his father’s work ethic. In 1976, he transitioned into the healthcare industry working as a liaison matching mental health patients with appropriate care homes. This led to Ron and his Dad starting “Ron’s Referral Agency,” which had exclusive contracts with hospitals and board and care homes.
After his father’s passing, he changed his focus to working with juveniles. He began employment with Alameda County Probation Department in 1987 at Juvenile Hall, working in the “D-Unit” with the most serious youth offenders. He became affectionately known as “Will,” well liked for his humor, cologne, and strong sense of style.
Ronald Lee Williams, clan elder, loving husband of Jameela Williams, was the proud father of six children, Anré, Patanisha, Ronald, Naomi, Maximillion, and Marlene; one daughter-in-law, Paula; one sister-in-law, Linda Gregory; one godson, Deante Young; three grandchildren, Andre Ali Williams Collier, Amber Nicole Williams, and Tyler Davidson Williams; two godmothers, Charlene Thomas and Helen Pollard; siblings, Jonathan Williams, Henry Bradford, Leroy Bradford, and Patina Spinks. He was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, father-figure, mentor, and friend to many who will mourn his departure.
