Robert Anthony Reese's Obituary
Robert A. Reese passed away Monday at age 81 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Bob was born October 2, 1925 in Easton Pennsylvania to Freida and Josrph Reese. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 38 years, Joann Walstrom Reese, his sister Pat and brother Joseph. He is survived by several nephews and nieces and a brother Ed Wenselberger of Easton, PA.Bob served in the Navy in the Pacific theatre in World War II after which he attended Penn State graduating in forestry, he mmediately moved to California to work for the Federal Forest Service for 31 years in many capacities as a forester in Lasson, El Dorado, Angeles, and San Bernadino National Forests as well as the regional office in San Francisco, and remained friends with many fellow foresters until his death.Bob was a lifetime member of Penn State Alumni, Marines Memorial, Sons in Retirement Branch #2 and American Legion Lake Merritt Post. Bobs caregivers especially wish to thank the wonderful nursing group on floor22 of ST. Paul Towers for the loving care Bob recieved .Viewing will be 9:00 to10:00AM Monday, March 5 at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont, Oakland Calif. A funeral mass will be conducted at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2808 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland. Interment will be private
