Robert Paul Johnson's Obituary
Robert Johnson was born on July 27th, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert and Shirley. He was the Eldest of Three. At the age of three his family moved to Oakland, California.He received Christ at an early age;he knew and loved the Lord.
Bob Graduated from Castlemont High School, He was a High-school All-star, and was All City in Football and Baseball. After graduation form High-school Bob came to a fork in the road. Should he accept the offer with Tucson Toros an AAA Baseball team, or take a different path. He decide to follow in his Father's and Grandfather's footsteps by serving his country. He fought in the Vietnam War.
In 1976 he met the love of his life Rosa and they spent 44 wonderful years together.
Bob loved music and to dance, and boy did he love to sing loud. He was always joyful, and loved to have a good time eating his favorite food, red beans and rice with a side of cornbread.
Bob worked as a truck driver for Markstien Beverages. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and had a passion for sports and current affairs.
He was a sports fan. He Loved his foot ball, baseball and basket ball teams. He contributed to his community in in various ways. With his veteran Status and street savvy knowledge, Bob knew people from all walks of life. Everybody knew O.G Bobby Johnson.
Robert Johnson was preceded in death by his father Robert, step-father Eddie, and sister Shiela. He leaves to cherrish his memory: his wife Rosa, mother Shirley, brother Steve, children, Jaime,Crystal, Robyn and Lisa, grandchildren;Stephen, Maia, Tristan, LeMariae, Kaia, And Rhyann, great-grandchild,Stephen, and host of Family and Friends.
