Priscilla Davis' Obituary
Priscilla Davis was born on April 20, 1960 in Oakland, CA. She was the youngest child of thirteen children to the proud parents of late Alfonzo and Pauline Davis who proceeded her in death. Siblings who also proceed her in death: Alfonzo Davis Jr., Robert Davis and Willie Davis.
Priscilla was called home by God on October 30, 2014. She leaves to rejoice in her salvation unto Jesus Christ: Her surviving siblings: Johnny Davis Sr., Annie Davis, Donald Davis, and Elizabeth Davis. She leaves to mourn her home going loving uncles and aunts, nieces and newphews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends and a large church community.
Priscilla attended Brookfield Elementary School, Montera Jr. High School, and Skyline High School, all located in Oakland, CA. Priscilla graduated from high school in 1978 and immediately attended Alameda College where she received a certificate in accounting. She assumed the responsibility as the primary care giver for her eldest sister Annie Davis for more than thirty years.
Priscilla became a member of the Center of Hope Community Church in Oakland, CA in the year 2009, under the leader of Bishop Ernestine C. Reems, Pastors Brondon and Maria Reems. She faithfully attended services and accompanied her sister Annie to church every Sunday during the times they were physically able. Prior to joining Center of Hope Church, Priscilla was a member of the East Oakland Church of God in Christ where Bishop Martin Clifton was the pastor during her child-hood and young adult life. Priscilla was very active in the church during her youth; she sang, led songs in the choir and took on various other responsibilities which helped in the strength of the church. She loved to sing and would spend hours learning the lyrics to gospel songs. Priscilla and her sister Annie were the also very attentive visitors of the East Oakland Faith Deliverance Center where Bishop Ray Mack is the Pastor.
Priscilla will be dearly missed by all. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew. Growing up in a large family, she knew what family gatherings really meant. She enjoyed a good barbeque with family and friends. She endured the good and the bad, and took everything in stride. Priscilla was also well known for encouragement and helping others although she has her own challenges. She was always cheerful. She never complained about her tasks in caring for her
