Prafull Talati's Obituary
Prafull Jayantilal Talati, 81, of 600 Santa Ray Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610, passed away 8/12/2022.
He was born in Nadiad, India on 2/14/1941
Prafull Jayantilal Talati graduated from H.L. College of Commerce where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He then earned a license as a Chartered Accountant.
He married Daksha Prafull Talati on 1/17/1967
Prafull Jayantilal Talati had a career in Accounting in India starting with CC Choksi and Company and the National Dairy Development Board (Amul Dairy). At this point he migrated to America and worked for several companies including CHF Industries, Aetna Forwarding and lastly the New York State Insurance Fund. He retired in 2016 but maintained other clients including his eldest son’s real estate Company.
He lived mostly in New York State in Lakeview Apartments in Flushing, Queens and later in his house in Rockville Centre, New York where he loved spending time walking the Boardwalk in Long Beach.
He had a passion for dancing at events, eating good food, helping friends, ping pong, collecting coins, taking walks, meeting new people, the stock market, real estate and philanthropy. He loved spending time with his grandkids Kailee and Kaiden with whom he lived with, during the last years of his life along with his son Biren and daughter in law Yufen. He most recently celebrated the wedding of his younger son Sameer to Abhinetri in New York in October 2021.

Funeral Arrangements will be held at 10:00AM, August 19, 2022 at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, CA.
