Phyllis. and I go way back to the early 60s to mid 60s we both went to the same high school. She was the first love of my life, my high school sweetheart. I remember seeing her passing by in the school hallways and I would say to myself Wow she has to be the finest girl in the whole school. Little did I know God allowed us to become boyfriend and girlfriend in the mid to late 60s. Our fling lasted a few years we had good times together. I wanted kids but she didn’t want kids and I think that was the wage that came between us. So we drifted apart and I ended up marrying the second love of my life and had two beautiful daughters. After I lost my wife to cancer one day I was shopping at one of the local neighborhood stores an I ran into Phyllis. We exchange numbers and been talking ever since. That’s been some 10 years ago. We had beautiful conversations on the phone, and we went to have lunch a few times always remain decent friends. And yes she was a news person. I use to tell her that she knew more news than the news people. Lol One thing I will miss about Phyllis. is every year we would play the Super Bowl pool that one of my friends facilitated a couple of times we came close to winning most of the time we loss but until last year we finally won on the Super Bowl our numbers came up and we won. We were able to split $700 I was looking forward to her being here for this year’s Super Bowl to play again but God had another plan. Rest on my dear sister I enjoyed you all the time I knew you. You will always have a place in my heart. May you rest in peace. Love you, Ronnie.
