Peter Christoph Krzywicki's Obituary
Mr. Peter Christoph Krzywicki, age 40, passed away Friday morning, November 21st, 2025 in Monterey, CA. He was born on May, 30, 1985 in Concord, MA to John Krzywicki and Lelon Bohne and will live on through his 5 year old daughter Eleanor Krzywicki and wife Ali Felski, who loved him with all of their hearts.
Peter followed his own playbook, using his values and heart on his sleeve as his guide. Having a deep appreciation and love for the environment Peter believed that creating laws were the true way to help our earth, leading him to earn a JD and pass the bar in Michigan and California, despite being dyslexic. With his innate sense for logic he thrived at the Department of Justice, as an Environmental Lawyer, for 14 years, making the livability of our world appreciably better. Peter worked on everything from molasses spills to mercury contamination and always felt that this work was his true calling.
But his enthusiasm for life didn't stop at work, it carried over to being in the nature he so diligently tried to protect, travel, food and his family. Always the adventurer, Peter loved exploring, whether that be through trips around the world (Japan with his brother, Thailand with his wife Ali, and New Zealand with his father) or being outside (swimming, hiking, skiing, camping or surfing), the outdoors made him happy and more alive.
Sweet treats, though, were the true secret to his heart. And food defined his seasons: rum buns during the holidays, cumin flavored veggie eggs in the summer, and strawberry rhubarb pie in the spring. Peter loved it all and shared it with the people he cared for most in the world.
Finally, Peter deeply loved his family, chosen or extended. San Diego, during his childhood in particular, became a place where he spent precious time with family that made him feel safe, loved and so very very happy. And in recent years, Peter simply loved spending most nights at home with his precious daughter and his wife Ali. His family was always his first priority and he enjoyed the simplicity of talking about the truly amazing things his daughter learned, snuggling while watching tv or playing board games.
Peter will be best remembered by his infectious deep laugh, big hugs, wide smile, deep voice and cheering for his favorite team, University of Michigan football. He will always be the most logical of us, the over explainer, and the hardest worker, with the deepest passions.
Before his daughter was born his wish for her was to 'just be happy' in this life. Our hope for Peter is that he has found a place to rest and be in peace beside his mother whom he deeply missed. Rest in peace Peter - the most special husband, father, brother, son, nephew and friend.
