Paulette Neal Patillo's Obituary
Paulette Neal Patillo, AKA as Weezy, was born on June 15, 1948, in Greensboro North Carolina to the Parents of McCoy Welbourne and Hazel Neal. Her siblings Alfred, Freddie, Aaron, Lonnie and Paul (twin) have proceeded her in death.
Paulette graduated from Dudley High School 1965, and in 1966 her only child Paula Rene Patillo was born. In 1983 she moved to Oakland California due to her Brother Lonnie Neal’s death, she decided to stay and never looked back.
Paulette was a dedicated worker at Alameda County for 31 years. Her career began in 1988, as a housekeeper for Highland Hospital and then Fairmount Hospital. In 1990 she was promoted to a Janitorial Supervisor in the General Service Agency, Building and Maintenance Department. Paulette took pride in her work and demonstrated great leadership skills in coaching and development of her staff, she had a gift to see potential in anyone when they could not see it within themselves.
Paulette was a funny loving person to be around and she took everything she did seriously. She didn’t stop until her journey was completed. She was a San Francisco 49ers and Warrior Fan. Lets’ not forget the love for her dogs “Lexus, Choocie, and Scotter”. She enjoyed going to concerts at the Concord Pavilion with her daughter. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren from going to eat at her favorite spot the Golden Corral, keeping her nails and eye brows on point, and shopping at the 99 Cents and DD’s Store.
Paulette truly enjoyed entertaining at her house, whether it was a spare of the moment barbecue or one of her grandkid birthdays, she was always down to have a party. She was very active in her neighborhood. She didn’t play and had a way of telling you the truth in a funny way, but at the end of the day she had love to share and would chastise anyone who came across her path . She loved her daughter friends and grandkids friends dearly, shout outs to: Chris, Sean, Julian, Armonte, Javon, Ishmael, Zeem, Akeem, and Charles for being a part of my Grandsons lives and continue to hold them down!
She leaves to cherish her precious love and precious: Daughter, Paula Rene Patillo-Dupree (Oakland CA). Grand Children: Shantelle, Marcel, Anthony, Makayla and Step Grandson Javon Dupree.
