Patricia Ann Larsen's Obituary
Patricia Ann Larsen, 88, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026.
Born in Whittier, California, Pat attended Fullerton Junior College and graduated from UCLA with a degree in Liberal Studies. She moved to San Francisco to begin her teaching career, where she met her husband, Harry Larsen. They were married for 25 years until his passing in 1987. She later shared many happy years with her companion, Wes McClure, until his passing.
Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother, teacher, businesswoman, and active member of the San Leandro community. As owner of the family business, Larsen Lumber, she was a respected local business leader and was deeply involved in community service through Girls Inc., the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, local political campaigns, PTA, and more.
She loved playing tennis at Bay-O-Vista, entertaining friends, annual Yosemite camping trips, and family adventures in the tent trailer. She will be remembered for her intelligence, kindness, generosity, and deep love of family and friends.
Pat is survived by her children: Sam and his wife, Patti Larsen; MaryLynn and her partner, Phil Rettig; and Jenny and her husband, Rob Bae; as well as her six beloved grandchildren, Cole, Shea, Riley, Jack, Austin, and Ella.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to her caregivers and loved ones for their support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Larsen home in San Leandro.
