Ota Machiko's Obituary
Born April 13, 1926 in San Francisco, CA, Ota Machiko passed away peacefully on May 30, 2016 in Walnut Creek, CA. Machiko was predeceased by her husband, Susumu Ota, and is survived by her nieces (Denise and Gayle) and her nephew (Alan). Machiko was an administrator for the Inspector General of the United States Department of Agriculture for many years. She worked to promote effectiveness and integrity in the delivery of USDA agricultural programs until she retired. She will be remembered for her sweet and cheerful nature, smiling face, and love of sports and music.
Services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland, on June 27th at 11:00am in the Chimes Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please offer your donation to Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, Buena Vista United Methodist Church, or your favorite charity.
