Mrs. along yes Mrs Long never allowed her employees to call her Ophelia. She hired me in April 1982 as the Executive Director of the Alameda County Health Care Foundation and I retired in this position in June 2011. Mrs Long stated she hired me because I was Black and qualified. Did I learn and grow under Mrs. Long leadership. I admired and respected her. She was a great leader. The skill sets That I developed from her kept me in this position. She will be truly missed. My condolences go to her family. RIH Mrs. Long. Job well done.
