Ollie Lee Smith made her presence known on September 15, 1932 inNowata, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of two children born to Leonard and Celestine Nash. They moved to Richmond, California in 1941 where she attended schools in Richmond andBerkeley, California. She received her diploma fromBerkeleyHigh School.Ollie Lee Smith departed this life on May 19, 2006 inOakland, California. She leaves to cherish her memory, two loving sons, Gerald Leonard Thompson and wife, Stephanie; Leonard Lynn Smith and wife, Malinda; one brother, Leonard T. Nash and wife, Lydia; five grandchildren, Daniel Simmons, Mikkia Smith, Julie Goetz, Dominique Smith, Glenn Thompson; two great-grand children, Allyson Goetz and Mariah Nurse; three nieces, Alyce Nash-Thompson and husband, Ken, Clarice Nash and Erica Britton; and a host of loving family and friends.Family and friends are invited to a visitation at The Chapel of The Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA Thursday May 25th, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm and funeral services on Friday May 26,2006 11 am at St Paul AME Church, 2024 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA.
