Norbert F. Banach's Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Norbert Banach age 84, after a brave battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born in W. Conshohocken PA, the son of Alexander and Madeline Banach.
Norbert attended Catholic elementary and high school in Philadelphia, PA and Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. He married Pauline Fragoso on August 27, 1989, they shared 33 years of marriage.
Norbert served as a police officer for 7 years in Middletown Township, PA before moving and serving 20 more years with Oakland Police Department. He retired in 1988, then went back to work as a security manager for the Oakland Coliseum and Charles Schwab.
Norbert loved baseball, cruises and traveling with Pauline. He was an avid Oakland A’s and Raider’s fan. He hosted amazing Super Bowl parties and was a member of the “No-Name Football League.
Norbert used his passion for photography to create personalized photocards and calendars for friends and family, his presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
Norbert was preceded in death by his siblings Rita, Mary- Ann and Albert. He is Survived by his wife Pauline; children Orinda Sears (Fred) and Julie Glenn, Gabriel (Sharon), Elisa and Javier Fragoso. Grandchildren; Michael, Justin, and Katie, Natalie, Charlene, Jessica, Rachel, and Yvonne. Great-grandchildren; David, Gabe M., Lily, Daniel, Sebastian, Jacob, Jante Jr., Janaya, Kameron, Yvette, Susie, Elisa, Gabe L., and Alexis.
