Nicholas "Nicolai" Gorbunoff's Obituary
Nicholas N. Gorbunoff was born in Tokyo, Japan, where he lived for 16 years, including during the WWll bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The youngest of three children and preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Elena Gorbunoff, his siblings, Leonid Filippoff and Antonia Stout.
Nicholas came to the United States in 1952. He joined the Army and served active duty in the Korean War. Nicholas was a proud American Veteran.
In 1958 met and married the love of his life, Donna Gail Sullivan, who passed away in 2014. Nicholas leaves behind four children, Kammy Cobarrubia, Katherine Zembik, Cynthia Lemos, and Nicholas Gorbunoff Jr. Six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
