Nicholas Aristotle Cecchetti's Obituary
Nicholas Aristotle Cecchetti passed away on September 16, 2004. He was born September 27, 1912, in San Leandro where in his youth his friends and family called himäBabeä. He was the devoted husband of beloved wife of 62 years, Ruby Louise Cecchetti, who preceded him in death three years ago. He is survived by his two cherished daughters: Linda Koistinen and her husband Dale Koistinen; Barbara Ann Cecchetti and her fianc?, Ron Ravetti; his dear grandchildren, Eric Koistinen and Alison Koistinen; his sisters-in-law, Lucille Pieren and Marguerite Drobas; his brother-in-law, Louis Drobas; his nieces Janine Galli, Helene Twyford, and Norma Nash, and their husbands, Ed Galli, Al Twyford, and Jim Nash. He also leaves behind many beloved relatives and friends.The family thanks the Sisters of Mercy and their staff for the peace, joy, and spiritual comfort Nick experienced as a resident of Mercy Retirement and Care Center.Nick was bigger than life, full of love, and amazing in his ability to live each day to its fullest. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to visit at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA on Monday, September 20, 2004 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m., Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 21, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at St Maryâs/St Francis Catholic Church, 707 Jefferson Street, Oakland, CA. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
