Natividad E. Salanga entered peacefully into rest March 9, 2013. She was 82 years old.
Loving wife of the late John A. Salanga. Beloved mother of Mabel Salanga-Giltner; Marita Kwiatkowski and husband Paul Kwiatkowski; and Marlene Groff and husband Joe Groff. Devoted grandmother of Michael and Joseph Giltner; Sophia, Amanda and Robert Kwiatkowski; and Benjamin and Emma Groff.
Born to Elino and Gavina Elido in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. Married John A. Salanga on January 16, 1960.
John, Naty and their three young daughters immigrated to the US in 1971. They raised their family in Oakland, CA. Naty spent over 20 years as a nurse aide. She retired from The Altenheim located in Oakland, CA in 1996. She spent her retirement years as a devoted, hands-on grandmother. She was fondly known as Lola.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 3-7pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA. A rosary will take place 6-7pm. Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, 2013 @ 11am at Chapel of the Chimes. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
