Nathaniel Collins SR's Obituary
Nathaniel Collins SR, 76, of Oakland, California, passed away on July 10, 2020.
He was born in Morehead City, North Carolina on May 2, 1944. Nate graduated from Polytechnic High School.
He was married to Julia Anne Mitchell on May 11, 1962.
Nate worked as a Glazier for Local 718.
He was a member of North American Veteran Boxers Association and had a passion for Professional Boxing from 1962-1984.
Nate the Great is survived my his 4 children: Juanita Collins-Smith, Lisa Collins, Nathaniel Collins Jr., and Jason Collins.
11 grandchildren: Kaseem Adams, Sheena Franklin, Janelle Lawrence, John Christofer Lawrence ll, Joseph Lawrence, Christian Bass, Euzahn Corin Collins, Kyle Collins, Elijah Collins, Selah McCabe Collins and Raina Nestore Collins; 6 great grandchildren and his long time Lady Dorothy Bell, who was there for him until the end. She called daily and it was the highlight of his day.
As well as a host of many friends and extended family and all of those that loved him.
Funeral Arrangements will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Oakland.
