Nancy was the mother I never had as an adult. She gave me advice on a host of subjects: health, nutrition and business â?? to name a few. She made me aware of new homeopathic remedies for an assortment of ills. I found her most interesting and sometimes quite funny. She was always welcome to my home and she became a loved figure in my family. She did a lot of activities with and for my family. During her last years, she and I would go to MacDonaldâ??s for a burger — an outing we both enjoyed. The most special place in my heart for Nancy was when she introduced me to the memory of my birth mother (her best lifelong friend â?? Ruth â?? fondly known as Twigs). Nancy was with her to the very end as I was with Nancy. I know that Twigs appreciated her and that Nancy appreciated me. For me, Nancy filled a void of information and family continuity. I will always love her for that.
