Melba Lorraine Dukes' Obituary
Melba Lorraine Dukes also known as Mama Dukes,or Grandma, a spirited entrepreneur (Melba’s and Ms. Melba’s Cookies), good friend, caregiver, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014 surrounded by her family. A long time Oakland resident Melba leaves to mourn her passing her daughters Deborah Temple and Evelyn (Kandace) Temple, grandsons Kevin (Deeyatra) Temple, Osagyefo (Gina)Temple, Uril Mayweather along with siblings, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and family friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on March 11, 2014 at Brookins AME Church 2201 73rd Ave, Oakland, CA. Please send all flowers to the Chapel of the Chimes 4499 Piedmont, Oakland, CA 94611 for private internment.
