Mary Lou Wilson's Obituary
Mary Lou was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 8, 1939 to the parents of Otis and Mattie Lee Rhinehart, who preceded her in death.
Mary Lou moved to Berkeley California where she received her education from Berkeley High School. She moved to Oakland, California, where she met and married Jesse Ezell Wilson on November 29, 1958, who preceded her in death. From this union was born three beautiful children; Yolanda (Wilson) Chambers, Cornell Wilson (deceased), and Vanessa Wilson.
Mary Lou was employed at Granny Goose in Oakland, California where she worked many years. Her favorite passions were Bingo, cross-word puzzles, and watching Lifetime movies. She also enjoyed watching Warriors basketball.
Mary Lou was a loving mother to her children. She was known for her home cooked meals and delicious mac n cheese dish.
Mary Lou received her wings on March 27, 2021; after a long illness, God saw fit to call her home. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Yolanda (Wilson) Chambers (Texas) and Vanessa Wilson; two grandchildren Carlos Vincent Chambers II (Texas) and wife Miranda Chambers, and Shelby Denise McClough; two great grandchildren Jacari Vincent Chambers (Texas), and Carlos Vincent Chambers III (Texas); an aunt Clarice Rhinehart; a niece Charlotte Delahousaye; two sisters-in-laws Omega Thompson and Emma Wilson; two brother-in-laws Woodrow Wilson, John Henry Wilson (Washington); her dearest friend Vivian McKinney; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Mary Lou will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever!
