Mary Lou Harris' Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lou Harris, on June 9, 2016, at the age of 72. Mary, a resident of Alameda, CA, for over ten years, was born in Parkin, Arkansas to Wise and Addie Mae (Jones) Warren on November 8, 1943. Her family moved to Gary, IN, in 1949, where she met and married her first husband, Randolph Murphy, Sr. After a brief marriage and divorce, she met and married her second husband, Leonard Harris, who passed away in October of 1973. Mary moved to California in 1974 after her husband’s passing, where she remained until her death. She is survived by her son, Randolph Murphy Jr. (Christine) and daughter, La Donna Harris, her grandchildren, Sabrina Martinez (Gilbert), Jonathan Murphy and Angelica Murphy, as well as her brother, Andrew Warren (Miriam), her sister, Laura Reed (Thomas), and brother, Wise Warren Jr. (Virginia). Her family is in the process of planning a celebration of her life which will be held in November 2016. Her daughter wishes to thank Virginia Warren for her unwaivering support and prayers through this most difficult time as well as Christine Murphy, Anthony Warren, Thomas Reed, Joyce Tate, Miriam Warren, Aaron Warren, William and Barbara Warren, Delores Warren, and all of our family and friends for their loving kindness.
