Mary L. Bowman's Obituary
Mary L. Bowman of Alameda, CA, age 93, was born in Hopedale, Ohio on December 30, 1923. She graduated from Virginia School of Nursing Virginia and received a Bachelors Degree from the College of Virginia. Mary was married to her Robert William Bowman on January 5, 1954. Robert, her loving husband preceded her in death and both will be reunited again at Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum.
She was a Registered Nurse and worked in many Bay Area Hospitals. As well as, Tripler Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii when she served in the U.S. Navy. Mary was a Member of the American Nursing Association.
Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Robin Bastien and son-in-law William Bastien. Sisters, Tresa Barr, Clara Connor; nieces, Carmen Tanphanich (Johnny Tanphanich ),Crystal Hutchinson-Allan (Jim Allan) and Michelle Greitzer (John Greitzer) and grand-nephew, Eric Tanphanich and grand-niece, Melanie Tanphanich.
She was an avid 49’er and A’s Fan and was passionate about her nursing career and watching over her beloved family.
