September 27th 1933 to January 18th 2017
Marion Neal Baughman was born in Buhl Idaho to Lowell & Maybelle Baughman during the great depression. Marion’s father homesteaded land in Twin Falls County , and became a farmer. Marion and his brothers Burton, Norman, and Claire worked alongside their father in the fields. Maybelle decided to move to Oakland California in 1945. Marion attended High School at Fremont High School, and then later joined the Army in 1950 and then was deployed to Korea.
After the war Marion worked at Mother’s Cake and Cookies as a baker in Oakland. Marion met Gloria Lowry , and they were married in the Oakland Tabernacle Church by Rev. Cecile Lowry , Gloria father. Marion & Gloria moved to Castro Valley and where they raised their three daughters Renee, Debra and Kimberly. In 1961 Marion and his father Lowell decided to open up a donut shop in the Historical Housewives Market in downtown Oakland.
Marion was a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Marion leaves three daughters Renee Baughman, Debra Carruth, Kimberly Neufeld, five grandchildren Rachel & Christopher Carruth, Thomas Christy, Matthew Neufeld, and three bothers Burton, Norman, Claire Baughman.
