Marianna "Maria" Klin's Obituary
Maria Klin was welcomed to heaven on June 17th after 102 years of life on earth. Born on February 3, 1912 in Zagorze, Poland, she endured the challenges of Nazi occupation and then Martial Law under Communism until she and Wiktor, moved to Oakland California in 1990. In Oakland, Maria enjoyed 24 more years of sun, friends, food, dancing and joy. She traveled occasionally to the east coast to visit family and friends in Connecticut, and often to Poland from whence she came. She lived life to the fullest enjoying the occasional Reno or Las Vegas casino trip, fine dinners with friends, and weekly telephone check-ins with friends and family around the globe. She is predeceased by husband Wiktor Klin and by her daughter Grazyna. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Janusz and Krystyna Klin; daughter and son-in-law Irena Klin and John Nowierski; son-in-law Andrzej Czajor; five grandsons Thomas, Robert and Daniel Klin as well as Igor and Lukasz Czajor and their loving spouses. Her seven great grandchildren include Magdalenda, Maximillian and Jacob Klin of Essex, Connecticut; Mara, Lukas and Nikolas Klin of Newington, Connecticut; Caroline Klin of Glastonbury, Connecticut; and Wiktor Czajor of Sosnowiec, Poland. Friends in the Bay Area can pay their final respects at the Chapel of the Chimes at 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, California on Friday afternoon, June 20th from 2pm till 6pm. Soon thereafter, Maria will make her final voyage to Zagorze, where she will be laid to rest next to Wiktor. Today and for eternity, she looks down on us joyously from heaven with Wiktor and Grazyna alongside.
