MRS MARIAN THOMPSON KERR, 105 years old, of Oakland California, passed away 17th October 2023.
She was born in Oakland, California on 6th September 1918 and named Marian Thompson. She graduated from Piedmont High School and then attended University of California at Berkeley and then transferred to University of the Pacific.
She married Harry Ambrose Kerr on May 17th, 1947.
She was a loving wife and mother. She has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oakland since 1935. She was an avid walker all her life and joined the Montclair Walking Group where she made good friends. She also enjoyed regularly going to the gym and water aerobics while in her 80’s and 90’s!
She had close friends she loved and spent time with. Their friendship started in first grade and they shared the highs and lows of life together. They were bridesmaids at each other’s weddings and raised their children together. Sadly, they have all passed away before her.
