Marian Firenzi Esau
Beloved mother passed away peacefully on November 10, 2015, at the age of 89. She was born and lived her entire life in Oakland, California. She was married for 54 years to her beloved husband Ernie Esau, who preceded her in death. The only child of the late Mary and Victor Firenzi.
Loving mother to her daughter, Loretta, son Ron and daughter-in-law Pam. Marian will be deeply missed by many wonderful friends that were part of her extended family.
She had many careers during her life as a dance teacher, administrative assistant and bookkeeper. Many young girls will fondly remember their lessons and performances as part of “Marian’s School of Dance”. Marian was also a dedicated volunteer at Providence / Summit Hospital for 43 years as a member of the Capistrano Branch. She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the Ligure Club, Fratellanza Woman’s Social Club, St. Theresa’s Woman’s Guild and ICF Branch #233 / #10 and long standing member of St. Theresa’s Parish in Oakland.
Marian loved all animals especially her sweet kitty Suzette, her constant companion for the last 6 years.
Family and Friends are invited to attend the Visitation which will be held at St. Theresa’s Church 30 Mandalay Rd. Oakland, California, on Monday, November 17, 2015, at 10:00 am at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Oakland. Donations may be made to St. Theresa’s School Endowment Fund, 30 Mandalay Rd. Oakland CA 94618 or any Animal Shelter of your choice.
