Maria Matilde "Muñe/Til" Saporta's Obituary
Maria Matilde was born on March 5, 1930 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Maria Paulina Rodriguez and Leon Saporta. Maria M. attended school in Argentina and received her Associate’s Degree in Berkeley, CA.  After graduation, she worked at the American Embassy in Chile for many years. After retirement, Maria Matilde became a U.S. Peace Corp volunteer in Guatemala.  After completing her years of service, she founded NTP Guatemala (NTP means No Tenga Pena) which is an educational scholarship foundation which provide access to educational and career training.
Everyday Muñe had goals to accomplish and approached each task with enthusiasm and relentless energy.  Maria Matilde was always growing as a person and helping others with joy, grace and boundless love. Her energy was an inspiration and she was a role model for all age groups.
Muñe is survived by her son and three daughters, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
