Margaret Polk's Obituary
Margaret Polk, 89, of Walnut Creek, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020. She was born April 14th, 1931, in Dekalb, Mississippi, the daughter of Mark and Alice Davis, and sister to Edward, all who preceded her in death.
During her teen years, her family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. On November 11th, 1950, she was united in marriage to her beloved late husband, James Polk. In 1968, they moved to California with their two children, Eric and Belinda.
Margaret enjoyed her time as a model. She enjoyed gardening, baking, shopping, and spending time with the family. In 1979, Margaret received her Associate of Arts degree from Diablo Valley College.
She was a very devoted member of the Church by the Side of the Road. She enjoyed her time singing in the choir.
Margaret is survived by son, Eric James Polk; daughter, Belinda Polk Birton; grandchildren, James Edgar Frizzell, and Brittany Marie Frizzell; great-grandchildren, Loralie Taylor Frizzell, and Sophia Jaymes Frizzell; daughter-in-law, Emily Frizzell; son-in-law, De'Andre' Birton, Sr; and relatives and friends.
