Margaret Ann Burns' Obituary
Margaret Ann Snow was born on April21, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana along with her twin sister Marsha to Alford and Betty Pearl Snow. At the age of 8, the family relocated to Oakland, California where she attended Oakland Public Schools and graduated June 1980 from
Oakland Technical High School. She then decided to make the trek back to Louisiana where she attended Grambling University from 1980 – 1984 earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences. Upon graduating, she returned to Oakland where she worked as a Billing Claims Analyst for several medical facilities in the Bay Area.
On June 8, 1990, she married Mark Burns. From this union, 2 daughters Simone and Sabrina were born. She loved, adored and doted on her daughters as no other mother could. Margaret dedicated her entire life to her family and her children’s education, working several jobs to send them to private schools ensuring they had all the tools needed to be successful in life. She took pride in every aspect of her life but especially where her children were concerned.
On January 13, 2014, after brief illness, she took her last breath and closed the book on the many chapters in her life. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her husband Mark, daughters Simone and Sabrina Burns, her mother Betty Snow, father Alford Snow, sisters Vivian Freeman (Anthony), Sylvia Snow, Marsha Snow, nephews Bruce Roberts, Philip Quinn, Fred Atkins, Jamel Freeman and a countless number of family members and lifelong friends. She will be missed immensely but we know we will see her again. May she rest in peace.
