Margaret C. Andres' Obituary
December 16, 1924 ' April 10, 2012Margaret C. Ray-Andres (Marney) passed in Oakland, California on April 10, 2012, and will be greatly missed. She was a great mother and leaves behind three children, Robert, Julie, and Todd Ray, as well as her grandchildren Austin, Jason, Rachel, and Katie Ray. Marney was born on December 16, 1924 in San Francisco and lived in the SF Bay Area all her life. She graduated from high school in Alameda, and worked for Pacific Bell in San Francisco and Berkeley for 13 years. She was married to Robert Lewis Ray until his death in 1987, and was later married to Charles (Mack) Andres. Marney was a loving mother and active in the Episcopalian Church (St. John's Episcopal Church in the Montclair District of Oakland) as well as multiple charitable organizations, including Lincoln Child Center and Junior Alliance. Marney was a wonderful, kind person, and her great sense of humor shined through to the end. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, her brother David Clark, the loving Andres family, and other relatives. Donations to St. Paul's Towers (Oakland) are suggested in lieu of flowers. A memorial service to celebrate Marney's life will be held from 2 ' 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Paul's Towers, 100 Bay Place, Oakland, California, 94610
