Louise Garoutte Mercurio's Obituary
Louise Garoutte Mercurio died of pneumonia on April 22, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born in Oregon to Earl and Doris Yarnell and graduated from University High School in Oakland, CA. Louise enjoyed dancing at the Columbo Club and with her Livermore group, China painting, knitting/crocheting, bridge, traveling to Hawaii and Europe, and especially family gatherings.
She is survived by daughter Andrea Earl(Michael), sons Robert Garoutte Jr.(Suzanne) and Chris Garoutte(Maria), granddaughters Denise Ballard and Nicola Garoutte, and great grandchildren Emilee and Jackson Ballard.
Louise was PTA President at Chabot Elementary in Oakland and later in life volunteered at Washington Hospital in Fremont. She was a good friend to Beverly Watson while a resident of Rossmoor in Walnut Creek and Pat and George Costa in Oakland.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at a later date.
