Louis Peter Curoso, Jr's Obituary
Louis Peter Curoso, Jr. was born in San Francisco on Feb. 21, 1940. He died suddenly at the age of 71 in Oakland, California, on Dec. 31, 2011. He grew up in San Francisco and Pacifica and served in the army from 1961 to 1964. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis P. Curoso, Sr., his mother, Norma Gernandt Chapman, and his stepfather, Wilburn C. Chapman, Sr. He is survived by his sisters, Wilma Lopez and Marian Stone, and his brothers, Wilburn Chapman Jr. and Richard Curoso. Also surviving him are his children, Madalen Petersen, Suzanne Vaughan, Margaret May, Anthony Curoso, Vincent Curoso, Jason Vaughan, Michael Vaughan, and his many grandchildren: Amanda, Abigail, Caleb, Timothy, Rebekah, Ezekial, Emmerson, Maxwell, Giancarlo, Martino, Gabriella and Brooklyn, and two great grandsons, Ronin and Rayden. He is lovingly remembered by Lynne Miller, Janice Curoso, and Ann West. A memorial service is planned for Jan. 28, 2012, at Chapel by the Sea from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, or a charity of the giver’s choice.
