Lorna was born in Kinloch, MO on January 29,1955. She was the only child born to Margie Ree, who raised her with the help of Lorna's great grandmother Sarah Hill. She accepted the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at a young age as her great grandmother picked up her and her cousins on a bus to ensure that they
attended church service on Sunday's. She attended school in Kinloch Mo while playing a major role in raising her step siblings.
At the age of 18, while raising her young daughter and preparing to welcome her second child, Sarah Hill requested that Lorna accompany her on a road trip to California where she was relocating. The plan was for Lorna to escort her great grandmother to California and help her settle in, but once they arrived she decided to stay and begin a life for herself and her children. She went on to have three other children, fathered by Ronald Sipp and Stephen Sloper Sr. and she dedicated her life to her five children. Determined to provide her children with the best life possible she worked several jobs and even multiple jobs at once. She became a Longshoreman in 1999 and held the title of "B Person" until the early 2000's when her health no longer allowed her to continue.
Lorna, known as Jean to family and friends was loving, caring, welcoming and would give her last to anyone in need. This was evident to anyone that met her. She even cared for her great grandmother until the end of Sarah's life. She is survived by her daughter Selina Hill and son in laws Kore and Michael Sr., Son, Ranthony Montgomery and wife Shantella, Daughter Ronda Sosa and husband Fidel Sosa Jr., Son Stephen Sloper and girlfriend Tai Arroyo, Daughter Felicia Sipp and son in law Martin, 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Margie Ree Watson and great grandmother Sarah Hill. Lorna Hill was a matriarch and will be missed more than words could ever express. With these words passed down from her great grandmother Sarah Hill, Jean loved looking at her family and with a big smile saying : ALL MY BLOOD!
