Lin Ho Lee's Obituary
Lin Ho Lee of Oakland passed away at age 91 on February 11, 2017. She was born on August 11, 1925 to Shong and Lim Shee Louie in Sacramento, CA. She lived a life full of love and laughter. She was the most loving, kind, generous and thoughtful woman. Gracious to all who met her. Her family was her first priority. Learning to sew while employed at a Chinatown sewing shop, she would sew clothes for herself during her lifetime. She loved to read and write, mainly in Chinese. Her Chinese calligraphy was exquisite. She loved reading Chinese folklore. Loving food, her English improved as she was constantly researching cookbooks and watching cooking shows on TV to find new recipes. A very proficient mah-jongg player, she also dabbled playing slot machines. Cruising to Mexico for the first time with her son, Parker, she became passionate for cruising!
Lin is survived by her beloved daughters and sons-in law: Lucille and Richard Fong, Jr. and Lucretia and Edward Hom; cherished grandchildren: Justin Hom, Mitchell and Stefanie Hom, Ricky Fong and Stephanie Fong; precious great-grandchildren: Timothy Hom and Lukas Hom; dear sisters-in-law: Shui Ping Louie and Hang Fa Louie and many adored nephews and nieces.
