Leslie Fong Chan's Obituary
Leslie Chan beloved husband, father, and brother, 58, passed away on August 15, 2008, in his Alameda home. Born in Oakland to Anne and Kew Chan. He attended UC Berkeley and Golden Gate University where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence. Leslie was an avid volunteer in the community. He spent time with the Alameda Boy Scouts Troop 3, the EHS Music Boosters, and AHS Cross Country team. He learned scuba diving in Honduras, studied Spanish independently, and even climbed Mount Whitney.Leslie is survived by his wife, Lorena; children Cameron and Kaila; brothers Steven and Jeffrey. Friends and Family are invited to a memorial on Monday August 25 at 4pm. Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alameda HS Cross Country, 983 Gaylord Place, Concord, CA 94518.
