Leonella Lombard Mischeaux's Obituary
Leonella Lombard Mischeaux died peacefully at home in the early morning of December 14, 2014. Leonella was born to Louis and Lucille (Douroux) Lombard in Algiers, Louisiana March 6, 1933. She was the second of six (6) children. Her sisters were Chermaine Hayes (preceded in death), and Mona Lombard. Her brothers were Randall Lombard (preceded in death), Lawrence Lombard (preceded in death) and Darrell Lombard. At the age of 12 her parents moved the family to Bremerton, Washington and a few years later to Seattle as her parents looked for employment opportunities. Leonella graduated from Holy Names Academy High School and went to Seattle University. She met the love of her life Louis Mischeaux (preceded in death) in 1954. They married on February 11, 1955 and recently celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary.
Leonella worked as assistant to the principal at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto and then for HUB Associates, Inc. which she and her husband Louis owned and operated.
Lee cherished her family. Her children, Louis Henry Mischeaux, Jr., Arlie Theresa Mischeaux, Stacy Mischeaux Press, and Flynn Gerald Mischeaux, grandchildren Arianne Theresa Mischeaux, Candice Mischeaux Edwards, Tyler Mischeaux Press, Christen Annemarie Press, Channing Teele Press, Claire Rose Mischeaux, and Louis Henry Mischeaux, III, her great granddaughters Ava Marie Hatcher, Sania Edwards and her family in-laws Rhonda Burgess Mischeaux, H. Cody Press III, Lisa Tejada Mischeaux, and William Edwards will all miss her dearly.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Sunday December 21, 2014 at Chapel of the Chimes – Chimes Chapel, 4499 Piedmont Ave. Oakland California 94611.
