Mrs. Lai Ming Kwock, beloved wife & mother & grandmother, was born in China in 1927 and passed away peacefully at her residence community, Brookdale Senior Living of San Ramon California, on Sunday night, March 12th, 2017.
Lai Ming immigrated to USA from China and worked hard together with her husband in their grocery store business to build a life for their family in California. Over 30+ years of hard work together, they were able to achieve a successful retirement, full of fun travel and loving family. Lai Ming really enjoyed a full life which included her hobbies of spending time with family, shopping, knitting, crocheting, cooking, holidays, and playing lots of mah-jong with her friends and family. When meeting Lai Ming, young and old alike, they always say she is the “sweetest & cutest lady”!
She is survived by her husband of over 72 years Mr. Lin Kwock, and their three children Patricia, Elizabeth, and Tony; and also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren too, all who brought joy to her life.
The Chapel of Chimes in Oakland, CA has been entrusted with memorial funeral service arrangements, scheduled for Monday, March 20th, 2017 in the Chimes Chapel with visitation 10am, ceremony 11am, followed by traditional reception in the afternoon in Emeryville.
