Kenderick Chue Wong's Obituary
Kenderick C. Wong was born on May 26, 1940 in a little house in Oakland, California. He was the eighth out of nine siblings. He is survived by his wife, Betsy, of 49 years, son Kenneth, daughter Amy and two grandchildren, Sean and Katelyn, who he loved babysitting. Ken was very social, genuinely interested in other people’s experiences. He loved his job of 39 years at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a mechanical engineer. His previous job was taking part in designing the cranes that currently unload cargo at the Port of Oakland. Some of his interests were dancing, woodworking and building model airplanes. He was a lifelong tennis player and also loved piano which he took up after retirement. He traveled to several other countries, enjoyed numerous cruises, and loved Hawaii. Ken’s last wish was fulfilled when he traveled in September with family and friends to see Honolulu and the west Maui sunset.
His final resting place will be Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland.
