Andrea
I am so grateful to God for gracing me by allowing me to love such a lady of beauty and grace. Auntie Kathi's giving and generous spirit was infectious. Maya Angelou once said that "people will forget what you said but ...people will never forget how you made them feel". Auntie Kathi always made people feel invited, comforted, loved. When our girls were very young and I was pregnant with our son, she drove over 55 miles each way to our home to care for the kids to allow us to have some adult time. Just because. Even after our son, Gabriel was born, she continued to make the trip to care for our little ones so that we could spend time alone. She had such a giving, generous spirit. Auntie Kathi was full of love and compassion; she radiated joy. Every time our son, Gabriel, would return home after spending an overnight visit/trip with Auntie Kathi and Uncle Ralph, Gabriel would always come back more mature as she (and Uncle Ralph) poured so much love, faith and wisdom into their godson, Gabriel.
Thank you for recruiting us to join Class#5 at Allen Temple Baptist Church. We are grateful to God that He has allowed our paths to cross as Auntie Kathi has impacted the lives of so many people. You're suffering no more. Rest now, Auntie. Rest in Heaven. Rest with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
And Father God I ask a special prayer for You to continue to comfort Uncle Ralph. Continue to wrap Your loving arms around him. Surround him with Godly servants.
We love you, Auntie Kathi and we will see you again.
Love, Andrea and Orlando Harris
