Anne Desgranges
Judith and I met in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the late 60's, where we were English teachers. We enjoyed many pleasant times and traveled to Burundi and Kinshasa together. The second year, we were both transferred to Lubumbashi, where we shared an apartment. We continued our teaching, and Judith additionally sang and played her guitar at a restaurant. I left DRC after one year.A few years later, we met again, this time in Paris, where we were both studying and where Judith gave birth to Monsoon, her pride and joy. I babysat for him, and I met her parents there. Then our paths diverged because I left to teach in Cote d'Ivoire.I keep a fond memory of Judith: congenial, bright, and open to new experiences.
