Juan Negron's Obituary
Juan Negron (Johnny) the third oldest child of ten born to the late Manuel and Maria Negron was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on September 29, 1933. On February 24, 2017, he peacefully transitioned in the company of this wife and daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Negron and seven siblings, William (Mary), Inez (Maria), Titi (Roy B), Gloria (Junior Santiago), Benjamin (Hilda), Justino and Marita.
After receiving his educational training in Puerto Rico, he moved to California in the early 1950’s. Johnny settled in Oakland, California and was a lifelong resident of the Historic Temescal District for fifty-two years. He loved listening, playing and dancing to salsa music. He was an avid reader, loved to roast and brew coffee, and smoke his cigars. Johnny was also a thrift shopper.
Johnny was instrumental in relocating his family from Puerto Rico to California. He retired after thirty-eight years of dedicated service with the Teamster Local 70 union.
He will remain in the hearts of his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Leida Negron; three children, Ana Maria Negron (Larry) of Vacaville, CA, Juan Antonio Negron (Arlene) of Livermore, CA and Louis Enrique Negron, Sr. (Alvanita) of Duluth, GA; ten grandchildren Juan (Mico) Negron (Sherri); Sophia Beitia, Mario Negron (Ashley); Micheal (Little) Beitia, Jr., Monique (Moni) Rico (Gilbert); Julena Negron, Kirklen Negron, Louis Enrique Negron, II, Alejandro Negron; two step grandchildren Jamie Parangan (Jamez Moore) and Jasmin Gonzales (Kenny); nine great-grandchildren Anthony Negron, Isaiah Curtis, Maurina Curtis, Armani Curtis, Amaya Negron, Mario Negron, Jr., Melina Negron, Melissa Negron and Dominique Negron and two brothers Elias Negron (Hermesa) and Moses (Theresa) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in friends.
