Jonathan Alee's Obituary
Jonathan Alee, 86, passed away on 3/9/2021, in Castro Valley, California.
He was born in Louisiana on June 16, 1934. Jonathan Alee graduated from Booker T. Washington high school. He was married to Gladys M. Mitchell on October, 11 1960. Jonathan had a career as a maintenance mechanic for Albany Bowl and Fox Plaza for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Alameda County Bowling Association where he was later inducted into the Alameda County Bowler's Hall of Fame on October 28th 2000. He was the first African American to win the award in Alameda County.
Jonathan Alee was preceded in death by his wife; Gladys Alee, his brothers Herman Alee and Ulysses Alee as well as his sisters; Dorothy Bush, Veora Timmons and Annie Mae Mitchell.
Jonathan Alee was survived by his sister; Sarah Farley, his children; Jonathan Alee Jr., Cleartis Wash and Debra Bryant, a host of nieces and nephews and his grandchildren; Jonathan Alee III, Timiza Wash, Renee Wash, Arthur R. Wash II, Marshall Bryant and Ashlee Bryant.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland Ca, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 am.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland Ca, March 29, 2021 at 4:00 pm.
