Jiana Suzanne Leilani Brantley's Obituary
"Gigi"
Jiana Suzanne Leilani Brantley, "Gigi", was the youngest of three children born to Apollo Brantley & Salina Craig-Brantley at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA. She received her childhood education in Alameda, CA at Amelia Earhart Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and Alameda Science and Technology Insititute where she obtained her high school diploma in 2016. Following in her mother Salina's footsteps she went on to pursue a career in healthcare. She graduated form Unitek College and received her Associates Degree in Nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in July of 2021. Achieving this goal brought great pride to her and her family. She was very driven to successfully excel in her career and was currently enrolled at Nightingale College working on her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
Jiana had a big beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that made a very memorable and lasting impression. She was quick witted, quirky and a good sport by often making jokes about herself during silly mishaps. During her years as a child she was passionately involved in ballet, hula at the "Academy of Hawaiian Arts", track, gymnastics, cheer (flier for her squad) and was a true dog mom to Kami & Yuki.
Jiana was preceded in her passing by her uncle Darnell Lamont Craig. She will forever be loved and missed and leaves to cherish many memories her parents Apollo Jacob Brantley & Salina Craig-Brantley; brothers Anthony Jacob Brantley & Justin Elijah Brantley; paternal grandparents Roy Lee Brantley & Corazon Mendoza, maternal grandparents Judge Craig, Jr & Evelyn Elizabeth Ahn, uncles Curtis Anthony Craig & Wayland Sheppard Lewis III, aunts Angela Marie Craig, Hana Mendoza, Pandora Brantley, and Nola Keisha Brantley, godmother Trenise Wilkins, godbrother William Wikins, godsister Ariana Wilkins and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
